Move To Canada!

The natural beauty, livable cities, publicly supported healthcare, ethnic variety, and lower crime rates of Canada are all clear draws. The good news is, Canada welcomes immigrants. Their overall planned admissions target for 2023 is almost a half of million new permanent residents. With Canadian immigration targets higher than ever, now is the time to start your immigration journey.

There are more than 80 pathways to immigrate to Canada. The easiest way to immigrate to Canada will depend on your own unique profile or connections to the country. However, no immigration path to Canada is simple. While some programs may be easier for you to apply to, the process is usually long, and involves many steps.

Express Entry.

Express Entry is Canada's fastest and most popular immigration program. Candidates that apply through the Express Entry system can receive permanent residence status in as soon as six months. Applicants are required to have adequate work and educational experience based on set Canadian guidelines. The Express Entry program is designed to find immigrants who can fill jobs where there is a lack of available skilled Canadian workers.

A large percentage of new permanent residents come through three streams of Express Entry:

  • Federal Skilled Worker
  • Canadian Experience Class
  • Federal Skilled Trades

The Express Entry system involves submitting an online profile that is scored by Canada's Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). To submit an Express Entry profile, you must first be eligible under one of Canada's above three federal streams. The Canadian government then issues invitations to apply for permanent residence to the highest-ranking candidates in the Express Entry pool.

Provincial Nominee Programs.

This program is for workers who have the skills, education and work experience to contribute to the economy of a specific province, want to live in that province, and want to become permanent residents of Canada. Each province has its own goals and requirements. Basically, each province is seeking immigrants that have the skills that are in demand within the province.

Business Immigration.

If you have experience managing or owning your own business, the easiest way to immigrate to Canada may be through a federal or provincial business immigration program. The Canadian federal government has immigration options available for anyone who wants to start a business in the country. Business immigration options are for professionals who have the level of experience and skill required to be a benefit to the Canadian economy. Business immigration programs typically require a significant investment in the company you intend to start in Canada. The amount required will depend on the program you are interested in. There is a wide variety of required qualifications dependent upon which program you are applying for.

When submitting your application, the Canadian government will request various documents to verify your work experience, education, identity, and criminal and medical background. The types of required documents depend on the program to which you are applying.
